Artist Biography

Darrell Ward is a talented artist based in Calgary, Alberta. After graduating from the Alberta College of Art (ACA), he embarked on a successful 32-year career as an Artist/Designer at The Centennial Planetarium/Telus World of Science Calgary. Today, Darrell's passion for creating art thrives as a landscape painter, with his captivating works displayed in galleries across Southern Alberta.

Darrell's artistic process revolves around capturing fleeting moments of beauty. He skillfully portrays the interplay of light and shadows, the rustling of leaves in the wind, and the ever-changing patterns of clouds. Field paintings serve as a starting point for his larger studio works, often leading to a series of interconnected pieces.

Each brushstroke is like a musical note, creating patterns and rhythm on the canvas. As Darrell finishes a painting, he can almost hear its unique song, a testament to his deep connection with his craft.
